FNQ VETS COMMITTEE VACANCIES.

FNQ Vets Captain and acting President Peter Wyatt welcomed all vets players to Mareeba this morning for the opening round of the 2023 season.

He thanks all his committee for the help he has received in preparing for this year. However , he made an appeal to any members who may be inclined, to step forward and offer their services as President and Vice President. These positions remain vacant.

Any Vets who may be considering this could give Peter a call on 0428554955 and he would be happy to discuss it.

Summer of Golf Mareeba 10 January CANCELLED

Once again the traditional FNQ wet season has interfered with the Summer of Golf. Due to the very heavy conditions at Mareeba, tomorrow's scheduled competition has been cancelled. Weather permitting, the confrontation recommences  next Tuesday 17 January at Millaa Millaa.

Just a reminder that the latest edition of the Rules of  Golf came into effect on January 1 2023. It might be a good idea to use this downtime to acquaint yourself with  these changes at  https://www.golf.org.au/2023-changes-to-the-rules-of-golf/
It is a little disappointing that no consideration has been given to modified rules for  golfers who are old and forgetfull!

Good golfing(wherever you can get it)
