RESULTS CAIRNS GOLF CLUB 2 JULY 2024

The best field of the year so far saw 90 players (69 men and 21 ladies) enjoying the glorious conditions at Cairns Golf Club this morning when FNQVGA played an 18 Individual Stableford in the Consistency series. President Peter was glowing in his praise of the reception we received from the Pro Shop, Bar and catering and green staff. The course was a hive of activity as it prepares for the FNQGA Championships this weekend. Good luck to everyone involved.

Visitors and new members today were John Burns (Cairns),  Garry Brown and Ralph Collis, Keith Harrap from Hawks Nest NSW, Alan Dwyer from Tallebudgera and George Cooley from Kiama.

Get well wishes go out  to members Kay Cleland whose broken ankle resulted from a tussle with a bag of mandarins, and stalwart Russ Gill who has had a tussle with a plastic surgeon. Hope to see you both in action soon as possible

Today's sponsor was Drummond Golf Cairns, Australia's biggest. If you want the Welsh version of golf , drop in and see Steve- the happiest pro shop attendant around!
