 Due to the continuation of inclement weather the Summer of Golf set down for ATHERTON  Golf Club tomorrow has been cancelled.

SOG MILLAA MILLAA 13 JANUARY CANCELLED

 Due to the continuation of inclement weather the Summer of Golf set down for Millaa Millaa Golf Club tomorrow has been cancelled.

SOG MAREEBA CANCELLED TUESDAY 6 JANUARY

 The Summer of Golf fixture set down for Mareeba Golf Club tomorrow has been cancelled due to the inundation of the course.

Go and see a movie instead - I can recommend "The Choral" starring Ralph Fiennes,  Roger Allam  and Alun Armstrong. And its cheaper on Tuesdays, apparently.

VALE- ROSS WHITE

 FNQVGA  is saddened to report the passing overnight of one of it much loved members, Ross White.

Ross was a member for many years and won our Consistency Trophy in 2015. He played golf all over the world including  The Old Course St Andrews and Pebble Beach and had great stories to tell of each.  Ross was a quiet, likeable gentleman and always much in demand as a mixed four-ball partner. Who could ever forget his characteristic start to his backswing, where he kept in contact with the ground for as long as he could!

Ross turned 80 on 28th November 2025.
