The Oak Tree Cup is a 36 Hole Stableford competition held over two weeks, 2 and 9 May at the Cairns Golf Club. The sponsor is the Oak Tree Retirement Village Cairns which is operated by the Oak Tree Group. We are fortunate to have such generous sponsors.
There will be daily Stableford trophies as usual as well as 36 Hole Stableford trophies. So, don't fear if you can only play on one of the days.
To have the largest numbers of members present at the presentation, the second round will be a shot-gun start at 7.30am on Tuesday 9 May. Members starting handicap will be used for the 36 hole event.
On the matter of Handicaps, members are encouraged to ensure that your correct daily handicap is recorded on your score card at the start of play. It is beyond our resources to check everyone's handicap or for that matter our desire to check - we trust you! However if you have been awarded a trophy erroneously you will be expected to return it!
If you are unsure what your GA handicap is, ask someone on the Captains table to check for you.
