President's Report

The synoptic forecast was for onshore winds & showers. The first greeted the 27 men & 3 ladies that turned up for the game, but not enough to call it off. However, after about an hour the first of the showers hit & they continued through the round, interspersed with heavy mist at times which made following the ball flight difficult if you could see the green! The course coped with the wet surprisingly well with no pools on the fairways & greens quite puttable if a bit slow, but the conditions put off about half the players who did not finish.

It was interesting after the game to drive down the hill & find the wind moderated & showers cleared, so Millaa seems to have copped the bulk of the forecast.

Thanks to Warren & the volunteers for getting the course in order & putting on a sausage sizzle for us, the latter being very welcome at half way & the end of the round.  I hope your round scheduled for tomorrow will have more clement weather.

Thanks also to Masters Home Improvement for sponsoring the event. There was only one division, but the event counted for the Patron's Trophy, so those who finished have a lead & also jumped up the Savannah Cup leaderboard.
