Results Babinda 30 May 2023

A small but well rewarded field traveled to that gem of a club Babinda today for the first round of the Patrons trophy. The quirky greens were ably supplemented by excellent fairways and the usual challenging hazards across most fairways.

Once again the reception from the locals was unsurpassed. A big thank you to Gabrielle, Patsy and Desley in the club house and the volunteers  for the way the course was presented.

We had 37 players (29 men and 8 ladies) and one new member Layne Gibson from Half moon Bay. Welcome!

Some may have founds the greens a little slow,  and others, a little bumpy but they  suited  Peter Brereton,Rick Gooderham and Andrina Christison who won their respective Divisions.

A big thanks to the Cairns Golf Club for their hospitality in the Pro Shop and in the Club house.
