Our game next Tuesday is at Atherton. This is the final stroke round for the year which, with the 2 rounds of the Championship, qualify for the Stanton Bailey trophy.
Owen tells me the course is in good condition,, with the greens a bit slower than they were for their Open, which will be a relief for some of us after the last couple of games!
I expect we will be looked after well as usual by Owen & Debbie, so look forward to seeing you there.

PS Just a reminder that the game after that is at Half Moon Bay & not Cairns where we were double booked.
PPS For golf widows, a little poem forwarded to me by Greg Gibb & penned in 2000 by Mrs. Lesley Southon of Minnamurra, the wife of Bill, an ardent Veteran Golfer.
A LAMENT SHARED BY
ALL VETERAN GOLFERS' WIVES
I hope we don't die on a
Tuesday,
The fellas won't like it
at all,
'Cos the day we select,
Would be the day they
elect
to play for an
autographed ball.
Oh, I hope we don't die
on a Tuesday,
The abuse would come
loudly and thick,
"We're sorry
they've gone, but
When all's said and
done,
There were six other
days they could pick".
I hope we don't die on a
Tuesday,
Another day would be
fine,
'Cos they'll just bare
their head,
P'raps a prayer will be
said
and they'll continue on
up the back nine.
But if we should die on
a Tuesday,
We'd be very sorry, of
course,
For demise on that day
means the Devil to pay
and
most
certainly grounds for divorce.
