President's Report

After a heavy predawn shower, the day cleared up to a large extent, although there were some showers & wind gusts later on.  However, 69 men & 23 ladies braved the conditions & found the course well mowed and the rough in the drains poisoned but still long lower down where the mowers couldn’t reach yet.  The greens are still a work in progress & the club has received advice from the Half Moon Bay greenkeeper on what is needed to bring them up to scratch.  Congratulations to the greens staff & volunteers who have worked hard.

Thanks to Manager Phil for running a drinks cart for us & for Jason for looking after the bar.

Welcome to new members Julie Wallace of Gordonvale, Jaqui Marat of Cairns & Michael Scott of Port Moresby.  Membership to date stands at 216.  However, I have some 250 member email addresses!  If any members have changed their address since last year, please let Di Diversi or myself know your new one so we can keep our mailing list up to date.

Our next game is at Atherton & is a stroke round being the first game for the Stanton Baliey trophy.
