President's Report

89 men & 26 ladies turned up at Half Moon Bay to a fine morning for a change, with the course in excellent condition after hosting the Holden Scramble over the weekend.  It was great to be able to play without getting one’s feet wet, as even though there were a few minor showers during the day, they were not enough to leave puddles or do more than cause some inconvenience.  Congratulations to the greens staff.

Congratulations to Ruth Yelland who took out the Ladies Qld Veteran’s Championship at Mt Coolum.  Congratulations also to Mike George who scored a 5 pointer on the 5th today.

Welcome to visitors Peter Buckman from Yallourn, Vic. & Shirley Luhrman & Paul Harbers both of Sandy Gallop, Ipswich.

Welcome also to new members Jim Smith of Half Moon Bay,Peter Johnston of Mareeba & Regina Lawson of Gove, who bring our membership for the year up to 227.
