Happy New Year & we hope you all had a pleasant festive season break & are all champing at the bit ready to face a new season of golf.
Our first game this year is at Mareeba & to ease you into things, it is a 4BBB, so arrange a partner or just turn up & we'll match you with someone.
Our program is on the blog, just click on the link in the right hand column & we will also have copies available at registration. We have most games sponsored again, although we have not heard back yet from Savannah or Brothers.
If you want to know what is happening around the ridges, the Tablelands Summer of Golf program was posted to this blog earlier on 8 Dec, so look it up in the index in the left column or use the search facility under the logo on the right.
Other State & National comps are shown in the QVGU site at http://qvgu.com.au/ & we'll have some entry forms for the State Champs at Maroochydore & copies of the QVGU booklet of events & contacts at registration.
Our Treasurer & offsider (aka 'boss') will be away for the first 2 games, so we'll be a bit short handed at registration & as memberships are due if you have not already paid, things may get a bit hectic, so we ask you to please be patient!
By the way, if you have been reading the Cairns Sun recently, you will note that those over 50 should no longer refer to themselves as pensioners, veterans, or seniors, but as Matured Teenagers. However, please note we do not propose to change our name.
