President's Report & Results Mareeba 29 Aug

Today was the final round of the club championship and 77 men and 15 ladies tackled the Mareeba course for the second week in a stroke round. We are now playing both rounds of the championships on the same course because it gets too complicated if the slope rating means your handicap is different on the second course.

The results listed below are for the daily handicap event only and the champions will be named in due course with presentations at our AGM in November.

Thanks to the staff at Mareeba for the hospitality and particularly to Rod Cade for his work in getting the course in great nick 2 weeks in a row, he is supposed to be retired!!

The sponsor today was, once again our old friends at DRUMMOND GOLF OF CAIRNS. We thank them for their interest in vets golf and I hope our members support the businesses that keep us viable.

Next week we play Millaa Millaa so hook up with some fellow players and make a car load for the trip.
