RESULTS GORDONVALE TUESDAY 2 APRIL

 

A gallant field 48 players (43 men and 5 ladies) attempted to take advantage of the "lift , clean and place rule" at Gordonvale this morning, but, alas most were unsuccessful. The highest score was 37 Stableford points  and the lowest was a diminutive 9!

We had three new members join us today. Robin Jeffries (Torquay Vic), Colin Johannsen (returning from Cairns) Leo Leonard (HMB). Welcome.

Our very generous sponsor today was Davidson Coaching. Mark touched down for the day between a golfing sojourn to Tasmania and King Island , and flies off tonight to Perth. Apparently you have to go that far to find a dry track! Thanks Mark.

CAIRNS GOLF CLUB TUESDAY 26 MARCH RESULTS

FNQVGA is getting back into the swing after the Christmas recess and Cyclone Jasper and already 129 members are financial for 2024. Some of our members are still dealing with the after effects of the cyclone and resultant flooding. We hope that there is a satisfactory resolution to these problems and life returns back to normal as soon as possible.

 57 stoic golfers (51 men and 6 ladies) braved the heat and humidity this morning to play an 18 Hole Individual Stableford on a very heavy Cairns course. A generous thank you to the  ground staff for making the  course playable in such difficult conditions. Thanks also to the girls in the Pro Shop and Clubhouse for your wonderful service.

We have three new members today , Jan Stephenson (Cairns), Shane McCarthy (Gordonvale) and Daryl Wall (Nambucca Heads). Welcome aboard!

SUMMER OF GOLF MILLAA MILLAA WASHED OUT

 

The final Summer of Golf Comp set down for Millaa Millaa tomorrow 29 March has been washed out.

Reminder that the FNQVGA Comp set down for Mareeba next Tuesday 26 March has been switched to Cairns. So the comp on 9April will be played in Mareeba. The Mareeba Club has probably contacted you already with regards to buggies.

NOTE: CHANGE IN PROGRAM TUESDAY 26 MARCH - CAIRNS GOLF CLUB

 Please note that the next round of the FNQVGA set down for Tuesday 26th March will be played at Cairns Golf Club and not the Mareeba Golf Club

It will be an 18 Hole  Single Stableford and the first round of the Consistency Trophy.

The round set down for Tuesday 9 April will now be played in Mareeba.

If you have golf carts book for these dates you will have to change them.
