Our sponsor today was DRUMMOND GOLF who provide great support to the Vets and hopefully our members repay that support by visiting DRUMMONDS when purchasing any golf equipment.

There were two talking points on course today, the first was the sighting of a croc behind the 8th green, many photos snapped and the second was a magnificent hole-in-one on the 4th hole by an extremely happy Bill Matthews. Well done Bill we will get your ball mounted as a memento of this day as well as providing two balls for the effort.

President Report & Results for HMBGC 02 Jul 19

PRESIDENT REPORT – HALF MOON BAY GOLF CLUB 02 Jul19

Hi Members,
Today`s game was a single stableford event at HALF MOON BAY Golf Club, there were 94 starters consisting of 68 men & 26 ladies. There were two new members, Henry Bright Yallourn and Debra Greenway Cairns, welcome to the FNQVGA. The course was in very good condition and the weather was even better after a very drizzly start early on, however, the sun came out and a great day was had by all.

Many thanks to the staff at HMBGC for their assistance to the Vets and in particular to the Manager Greg Ferry for once again donating a slab of amber fluid to be raffled off for those members remaining for presentations, a very rowdy group were the lucky winners.

Our sponsor today was DRUMMOND GOLF who have continuously supported the FNQVGA all year and our members do likewise to DRUMMONDS as I am often told “we get a great deal from DRUMMONDS”. The winners & runners up for today`s comp please be aware that the DRUMMOND vouchers have a use by date of one month from today.

The FNQVGA Committee have purchased a Public Address system for presentations due to the fact that some clubs do not have a microphone and it was trialled today with a few gremlins but overall we are ready to go. We also purchased sufficient NTP markers to be used at all venues that we play, they are marked as FNQVGA property and will be the only NTPs used by us in the future, compact black ones. This way we are not relient on the clubs for the provision of their equipment.
There was a rain jacket handed in today and I will bring it with me until claimed.

Next weeks game will be at BABINDA GOLF CLUB, Wal and his crew will be ready for us so I hope to see you all there.
