President Report & results for Atherton GC 16 Jul 19

PRESIDENT REPORT – ATHERTON GOLF CLUB 16 Jul 19

Hi Members,

Today`s game was a single stableford event at ATHERTON Golf Club, there were 73 starters consisting of 61 men & 12 ladies. There were two new members, Brian Bevan, Babinda and Chris Young, Mareeba, welcome to the FNQVGA. The course was in very good condition and is a credit to the greens staff, job well done. Even though it was freezing early in the peace the sun came out and warmed things up a little but the damage was done and the scores below reflected the cold weather. Many thanks Cheryl for your assistance to all of the Vets players.

Our sponsor today was STRATFORD PAINTING CONTRACTORS (Gordon Perry), those requiring any sort of paint job around the house please call Gordon for a quote, you won`t be dissappointed.

A friendly reminder to all golfers please ensure you sign your cards prior to handing them in as there were some disqualified today for forgetting to do same.
There was a pair of sunglasses handed in today and I will bring them with me until claimed.

Next weeks game on 23 July will be at HALF MOON BAY GOLF CLUB.

Happy birthday for tomorrow Liz.

Robin Pres.
