President's Report & Results Half Moon Bay 1 Aug

Today was the third of five rounds for the Ted Thomasson Memorial Shield and was played at Half Moon Bay club in perfect conditions. The field was a disappointing 76 men and 9 ladies but we can assume that many of our members are playing the City of Cairns event being held all this week at Cairns Golf Club.

We welcomed 3 new members today in Russell Lawrence of Cairns, Shirley-Anne Pengly from Beverly Park and Jack Dempsey of Half Moon Bay. I hope you all enjoyed your first day at “vets”.

The sponsor today was COMPLETE HEALTH AND FITNESS SOLUTIONS and we were lucky to have the owner, Scott Payne on hand for a game of golf with us as well as to explain just what his business can do for the over 50's.
