SUMMER OF GOLF SINKS WITHOUT TRACE

 Due to the continuation of the wet season the last Summer of Golf for 25/26 set down for Millaa Millaa this Tuesday has been cancelled.

ATHERTON 17 MARCH CANCELLED

Once again, unfortunately Tuesday St Patrick's Day round at Atherton has been cancelled. Hopefully next round will be Cairns Golf Club Tuesday 31 March for a 7am start.

SOG Mareeba 10 March CANCELLED

 Unfortunately the Summer of Golf set down for Mareeba tomorrow Tuesday 10 March is cancelled.

RESULTS HALF MOON BAY TUESDAY 3 MARCH

 The Half Moon Bay Golf course had had over 70mm of rain in the 24 hours to 6am this morning when the FNQVGA decided to change its competition set down for today from a 2Ball Ambrose to an individual stableford on the dry Gray Course.And what a good move it was. 51 players (45men and 6 ladies ) flexed their muscles on this shorter course and no fewer than 6 players recorded 40 stableford points, including GD who was only defeated by the Australian Count-back System for the Mens Div 1 prize.

Thanks to everyone at Yorkeys for accommodating us so ably, and especially the Green Staff for the  excellent condition of a well watered course,  especially the uniform greens. 

We had one new member this morning Greg Dujan from Half Moon Bay.

HALF MOON BAY 2 BALL AMBROSE TUESDAY 3 MARCH 2026

 FNQVGA plays a 2 Ball Ambrose competition at Half Moon Bay on Tuesday. There will be two divisions, a mens division and a mixed division, so ladies find yourself a partner!

Handicap is one quarter of your combined handicaps and each player must have a minimum of 6 drives.
