22nd February Game at Gordonvale Golf Club

Vets

The report from Gordonvale Golf Club this morning is if the weather holds and we do not get significant rain the 18 Holes will be open tomorrow for the FNQVGA event.

Carts will be allowed, but we ask caution on particularly the 4th hole, and use the 90 degree rule is recommended on other fairways to protect them.

The event is a Single Stableford

Preferred lies through the green will be played, bunkers and cyclone damage debris are GUR

Gordonvale have worked hard to prepare the course for us, I would ask all Vets to come out and support them tomorrow.

See you there!

Regards
Ross Bird

URGENT - CHANGE OF VENUE for 15th Feb to MAREEBA

Dear Members

The game scheduled to be played at Gordonvale Golf Club on the 15th February has been postponed to the 22nd February. The course is quite wet and only the 9 Holes inside the racecourse available for play. If this is still the situation on the 22nd, we will play that inside 9 twice.

Tuesday 15th game will now be played at Mareeba Golf Club, the club which has suffered least from cyclone damage and rain. Of course this will depend on how much rain there is between now and Tuesday. We will keep members informed by email and the blog on Monday as to the conditions at Mareeba.

Hope to see you there!

Regards
Ross
