I'm told the course is in pristine condition, so hopefully we will see a few more people than at Cairns - remember it never rains in Mareeba (especially not on the golf course)!

President's Report & Results Cairns 14 June
Considering the overnight rain that
continued on and off during the day, quite a few turned up at Cairns Golf Club for the days event. Unfortunately, only 34 men and 8 women
displayed the intestinal fortitude of true golfers, the remainder
skulking off home.

President's Report & Results Gordonvale 7 Jun
Once again a chilly morning (by FNQ
standards) turned into a beautiful day for golf and the Gordonvale
course is in perhaps the best condition we have seen in quite some
time, with the fairways very good and the greens starting to show
results from all the work that has been carried out.
The event today was a single stableford
sponsored by GOLF WORLD and
we thank them for the store vouchers awarded to the winners and
runners up.
There were 79 men
and 14 women competing today and treasurer John informs me that our
membership for the year to date has reached 200 and is expected to
climb as the winter sets in down south.
