Mareeba Results Tuesday 18 July 2023

Early morning light at Mareeba his morning.

A great field of 72 Vets (60 Men and 12 Ladies) traveled to Mareeba on Tuesday to play a single stableford in glorious Tableland weather. Greens keeper Karl Kruas has the course in excellent condition with the fairways well groomed and the greens, for the most part flat and receptive, except for the cockatoo damage. If anyone knows how to discourage these pesky birds I'm sure Karl would be happy to hear from you.

Owen and Debbie were once again very welcoming in the Clubhouse and it was good to see a large number of players stay for the presentations.

There were three new members who joined us  today, Daniel Cox from Gordonvale and, Jane and Michael Taylor from the Hidden Valley Golf Club at Wallan in Victoria.

Our generous sponsor was Cazalys. Meet.Eat.Drink.Play- All responsibly!

An enthusiastic 65 Vets  (54 Men and 11 Ladies) traveled to Gordonvale Golf Club this morning to play an 18 Hole Stableford in the Consistency Trophy series. The weather was very mild and only the slightest hint of precipitation. A thank you to Manager Elliott and Bar attendant Marion for your friendly service, as well as the green staff and volunteers.

Our sponsor today was Brothers Leagues Club on Anderson Street. Visit the club for a cool refreshment, a tasty meal in Fratelli's restaurant or even a flutter on the pokies.and remember - gamble responsibly.
