As I've had no emails from President Ross spruiking about how well our members had done in the National Championships at Port Macquarie, I must assume they are drowning their sorrows!
The Cairns course was in great condition and the forecast rain avoided us, so some respectable scores were returned, with winners enjoying good prizes supplied by Golf World who sponsored the event.
We welcomed two visitors, Sandy Jamieson from Headland and Peter Billingham from Beerwah and a new member, Des Jones from Half Moon Bay Golf Club.
Our Treasurer is still eagerly accepting subscriptions for 2011. Please present your Membership card for validation when paying.
We have FNQVGA shirts in various sizes available at $30 for short sleeves & $35 for long.
Also, we have had a quote for nametags since several people have suggested they would be a good idea. Please let me know if you want one. The cost is $7.
Next games are at Babinda on 23rd November, and Gordonvale on 30th November both Single Stableford, with the former being the second round of the Patron's Trophy.
The Gordonvale game will be a shotgun start at 8.30am following our AGM which starts at 8am.
