Vets Nationals at Gold Coast Accommodation

At our AGM, Bob Billingham advised he was investigating accommodation possibilities for those interested in playing in the AVGU National Championships at the Gold Coast next year.

Accommodation report from Bob Billingham

As you are aware I have volunteered to research and book accommodation for the FNQ vets travelling to this event. I have made initial enquiries with golfers to get an idea of numbers interested and from these enquiries I have guesstimated 15-20 with some couples and some singles.

In view of these numbers I have put a block on 5 x 2 Bedroom apartments, book in 15^th Oct and out 21^st Oct., at the Pacific Resort Broadbeach. These apartments have 1 x Queen bed and 2 x single beds. The cost per aoartment is $140.00 per night. This is the link to there web page http://www.pacificresort.com.au if you wish to have a look. They require payment of $200.00 per room by 15 August to lock the booking in so deposit money? (to be advised) will be required before this date.

Also, Savannah have their last Open Day on Sat 10 Dec from 10-4.  However, the office will be open until lunchtime on Friday 23rd and Friday 30th December, and for limited hours on 28th and 29th December (give the office a call before driving up for a visit).
