Presidents Report and Results Half Moon Bay Tuesday 13 June 2013

An encouraging field of 80 players (65men and 15 ladies) accepted the challenge of a rather bleak outlook, and did their best to conquer Half Moon Bay Golf course this morning. The course was a little vulnerable with three usually difficult holes out of action- the 13th was considerably shortened to 115m and gave up "2 a 6" to Lois, and the 14th and 15 were not played! The course itself was in excellent condition and most players found the greens to their liking.

We welcomed seven new members today. Alison Gibson, John Tehan, Alison Rancourt , Jacques Rancourt and Kevin Newitt all from Half Moon Bay, Henry Bright from Yallourn Golf Club in Gippsland; also Stephen O'Keefe from Ravenshoe Millstream. We hope you enjoy your Vets golfing.

A special thanks to the HMB Club this morning for the complimentary drink after play today by way of compensation for the full course not being playable today- very generous.

Because we played a composite course today, your scores will not be recorded on Golflink so don't go looking!
