RESULTS CAIRNS TUESDAY 29 APRIL

 A beautiful autumn morning at the Cairns Golf Club  this morning where a good field of 71 (54 men and 17 ladies) FNQVGA golfers enjoyed a challenging round. The Cairns course was in excellent condition, and it was the first opportunity many of our members had to play the newly redeveloped 10th Hole: comments were unanimously favorable! Congratulations to all involved from the concept, design ,building and now the maintaining of this feature.

We had three new members join today Raymond "Herbie" Murray from HMB, as well as Chris Trevenen and Lyn Small both from Cairns. Welcome.

RESULTS HALF MOON BAY TUESDAY 22 APRIL

 56 FNQVGA(44 men and 12 ladies) golfers enjoyed a beautiful morning at Yorkey's Knob today as guests of the Half Moon Bay Golf Club. The course was a picture. Thank you to all the staff in the club house, pro shop and to Todd and Cath's Kitchen for an early morning coffee and delicious lunch treats.

The highlight of the day was President  Pete's second shot of the day on he 10th. Well, it went straight into the hole, didn't it. Congratulation on a fine Eagle!

 A sparking mild morning greeted 52 (38men and 13 ladies) FNQVGA  golfers in Mareeba this morning as we played a single stableford in the consistency series. The course is coming along nicely as they prepare for the Steggles Mareeba Open next weekend. Congratulations to the Mareeba superintendent and his volunteers on the way you have the course looking and playing.

Another consistency round  for FNQVGA golfers in Mareeba this Tuesday, single stableford rounds for Men and Ladies sponsored by Col Johannsen.

Tee off from 8am , Nominate from7.30. Please note that this earlier time of 8am will continue for all Tableland Clubs this year. ie Millaa Millaa, Atherton and Mareeba.

The course should be in great condition as Mareeba Golf Club prepares for the 2025 Steggles Mareeba Open on 26, 27 April. 

RESULTS GORDONVALE 8 APRIL 2025

 In comfortable weather conditions 55 FNQVGA golfers (48 men and 7 ladies) attempted to blow a few more cobwebs out of the golfing pipes under the watchful eye of Djarragun at Gordonvale Golf Club this morning. The lush rough made it also a test of golfers sense of humor, and put a premium on hitting the fairway. Scores reflected this but as usual someone has a golden day and Jacques Rancourt brilliant 38 stableford points was the stand out. 

Thanks to everybody at the Gordonvale Club for your hospitality, and the work the greens staff has done in getting the course ready for today!

 A field of 60 fearless FNQVGA Golfers (46 men and 14 ladies) competed in an Individual 18 Hole Stableford at Cairns Golf Club this morning. The only thing warmer than the hospitality shown by all staff at Club was the weather which reached an apparent temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius at midday! Thank you to everybody involved- made us feel a little bit special today. 

We had 4 new members join today, all from Cairns Golf Club, Toshie Suenaga, Patti and Michael Ryan and Mark Stallman, Welcome.
