President's Report
Mareeba kindly managed to squeeze us in for a game after Atherton phoned to say they had copped a soaking over the weekend, carts were not permitted & the course was very slippery, so they reluctantly could not host us. The change was fortunate as it rained more there today - they have our sympathy & members on the courses down here know exactly what they are experiencing!
After emailing all those we have addresses for & posting the change to the blog, 56 men & 16 ladies turned up after a lengthy delay caused by an accident on the Kuranda range & enjoyed a pleasantly cool day on a course in good condition & dry underfoot. Congratulations to the greenkeeper & all the volunteers.
Thanks to Col McDowall who acted as Treasurer (whilst Di went the long way round to avoid the accident) & for putting out the NTPs. Thanks also to Raylene & Jon for looking after us & to Cazalys AFL for sponsoring the day.

Anyone who has given credit card details for their Open entries, please note these will be processed on or about the 25 June. The draw for the Open will be posted to this blog shortly after that date & will also be published in the Cairns Post. Depending on numbers, we may be able to accept some entries for the day comps, but they will be sent off at the end of the field.
Our next game is a single stableford at Half Moon Bay sponsored by Brothers Leagues Club.
