President's Report & Results Mareeba 6 Nov

The field of 70 (14 ladies & 56 men) was a little less than we usually hope for at Mareeba but I suppose that is because it is Monday and some will be having a long weekend with family. Nevertheless the course has benefited from recent rains and is very green considering we are well into the normally driest time of the year.

The sponsor today was GOLF WORLD of Cairns and the winners and runners up received store vouchers which they will hopefully put towards some new “score lowering” equipment.

I remind members that our Annual General Meeting is to be held on 28^th November prior to a shotgun start at Gordonvale Golf Club, so if you enjoy “vets” as much as I do, now is the time to consider serving on our committee. We have not had any representation from the tableland clubs for a few years now so think about it guys and girls. Nomination forms will be available in the coming weeks.
